Refund & Credit Policy

We want you to feel good about paying for Forgehold. This policy sets out our trial, our 7-day money-back guarantee, how cancellations work, and how downtime credits are handled. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. The free trial comes first

Every new subscription starts with a 3-day free trial. Your card is not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged at all, so there is nothing to refund. Your first payment is taken only when the trial ends and the subscription begins.

2. 7-day money-back guarantee

If Forgehold is not right for you, email hello@forgehold.gg within 7 days of your first charge and we will refund that first payment in full — no hoops. This guarantee applies to your first paid month on the account; renewals and later months are not covered by the guarantee (but see cancellations and credits below).

3. Cancelling after the guarantee window

You can cancel any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. After the 7-day window, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep your server until the period you have paid for runs out, and you are not billed again. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a month once the guarantee window has passed.

4. Downtime credits

Separate from refunds, unplanned downtime that is our fault earns a service credit — 5% of your monthly fee per hour of downtime, capped at 100% of that month’s fee. Credits are applied to your next invoice on request. Full details are in section 4 of the Terms of Service. To claim a credit, email hello@forgehold.gg with your server details and the approximate downtime window.

5. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe. Once we issue the refund it typically reaches your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. We refund in the currency you were charged.

6. Exceptional cases

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund outside the situations above — for example because the service was not delivered as described — contact us and we will work it out fairly.
